I’m Ashley Rose Marino and I’ve got a knack for combining good design with even better science. I graduated from Baylor’s University Scholar program in the honors college in 2016, where I was afforded the freedom to study the things that interested me without needing to take basic courses (which was a pretty sweet deal). Through this program, I was able to study exactly what I loved: psychology, ASL interpreting, and sociology. I even wrote a giant thesis about Deaf culture, which you can learn more about here.
After doing some research the year before graduation, I came to the realization that design was my calling. I had always been interested in interior design and creating something out of nothing, but I hadn’t realized that could be a lucrative career move. I jumped head first into learning about design by taking courses, finding an internship with the lovely Lesley Myrick (who you need to visit if you’re in Waco), and doing everything that I could to learn as much as I could as soon as possible. Traveling across the country and the world has also helped influence my design tastes and has contributed to my immersive design education. Now, I’m back in the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas area and have kickstarted my career by forming Ashley Marino Designs LLC. I’m focused on creating homes that bring out the best in the spaces and the people in them. Learn more about my business and what packages we offer here. |
